Raid plans

25 progression: fresh off our Blood Queen kill we will be charging full speed at Sindragosa. We spend a few hours last Thursday introducing everyone to the fight and the general strategy. Take a few moments before Tuesday/Wednesday to read the fight again, watch the movie and most of all memorize the flare locations shown in the raid strategy section.

Tuesday, after the first wing, we clear to and kill the Blood Princes. Once they are down we head straight for Dreamwalker and Sindragosa, where we will be spending the rest of the night.

Wednesday, we warm up with Festergut, Rotface and Professor kill. If Sindragosa is down, we head to Blood Queen, otherwise we pull out the frost resist and have at it again.

Before the portal to the Lich King is activated, (I believe) we've got to clear out all the end boss's of each wing. This will test our ability to be focused, efficient and our to act as a team of 25. The Lich King is no pushover, we are going to need to pull out all the tricks and really help push each other to 100% and then a little bit more.

Areas we can improve:

1- Strategy. All the information is available to you outside of the raid scene. As a vet (or hopeful vet) you should already know the fight regardless of whether you've been there or not. Either myself or someone will explain any changes to the strategies found on the web (any changes on to most strategies will be posted on the web), and of course, will answer any questions. Questions like: "What boss is this?", "should I have <element> resist?" or "Is this the boss that does <ability that this boss doesn't have>?" will make us all very sad. What you should be asking (if you haven't done the fight with us before) is: "How do we deal with <ability name you read about>?", "do we need someone to kick/cleanse/etc? If so, can I try?" or even better "Pala, you look stressed. Do you want a cup coffee?".

2- Running back. Sometimes wipes happen, even on farm bosses. Lag, disconnects or just bad luck (rng) are out of our hands, so let's not dwell on it. When we wipe (or a wipe is called) release and be back and ready to buff within 2 mins. Anyone who can buff should have Grid or some sort of raid frames that will show when everyone is there. 5-10 minutes between pulls can take away the momentum of a good attempt.

~2 minutes isn't a lot of time, no reason we can't have 5-10 minute breaks every so often instead of between each pull. We are human, and we need some time for butt fluffing etc.

3- AFKs. I really don't think this is a problem 99.9% of the time, but here it is anyway.

Believe it or not, if you turn around during a raid, you will notice things are still going on around you. As a result S&!# happens that may need your attention. Running back is not the best time to be checking your email or who's dating who on facebook . If, for whatever reason, you've got to leave for x amount of time, let me know before you leave ... not when you return .

I'll admit, these are small things and I am nit-picking. But every little bit helps.

10s progression: Last week was a bit rocky to get the teams moving. Real lift issues and haxxors are to be blamed and I thank everyone for the quick recovery. <3

Sunshine Gang - Great work and grats on the progression kill. You've got some work ahead of you but I am very proud of the progress you are making. Andro, you told me you'd take care of that team and you have. For that I thank you.

Chicken Mafia - Always a pleasure. With 2 members missing, you adapted and make the raid happen. Look for a post sometime in the future with a Lich King strategy -- make that kill!

Trash Wipers - Blood lust for trash? I think so! Good to see a lighter schedule this week. Quality over quantity!

Duct Tape - never has a team name been so accurate. I have to apologize to all those who show up each week only to have the run dissipate. Before I can put someone in charge of this team, we need it's members to show up. There is a post with ~15 people on it for this team ... where'd everyone go? Only 3 showed up Tuesday ... again.

Computer safety
Now might be a good time to pay extra attention to what you are doing on the Interwebz. Before you follow any links, posts or websites regarding warcraft (or anything you are not expecting) do a quick search with Google or something. You might be surprised what you find.
